This thesis investigates policy formulation and implementation processes in Zambia. A number of issues emerge with respect to the weaknesses of the system and how policy decisions worsened Zambia's economic performance instead of improving it. The Kaunda era policies of nationalization had an adverse impact on productivity of industries as well as affecting the resource flow from donors and business houses. On the other hand President Chiluba's reforms in the 1990s have had both positive and negative impacts on the people of Zambia. The rapid privatization and liberalization affected employment levels thereby worsening the poverty levels. Further, the liberalization brought in stiff competition from other countries forcing most manufacturing companies to close down. The policy environment based on the Bretton Woods Institutions seems n...

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Koefisien Determinasi (R Square)
sebesar 0,462.

Two species of the genus Sisyra Burmeister (Neuroptera: Sisyridae), S. cameroonensis, n. sp., and S. gruwelli, n. sp., are described from the African Republic of Cameroon. Sisyra pallida Meinander is synonymized with Sisyra delicata Smithers, new synonymy, after comparison of the types of the former with topotypic paratypes of the latter. Type material of Sisyra nilotica Tjeder appears to be lost. Examples of Sisyra are recorded from Nigeria, Ethiopia and Uganda. A second species of the endemic African genus, Sisyborina, Monserrat, S. scitula, n. sp., is described from Cameroon, Guinea, and Zambia.
High-Frequency Surface Wave Radar (HFSWR) is a radar technology that offers numerous advantages for surveillance of coastal waters beyond the exclusive economic zone. However, target detection and tracking is primarily limited by ionospheric interference. Ionospheric clutter is characterized by a high degree of nonhomogeneity and nonstationarity, which makes its suppression difficult using conventional processing techniques. Space-time adaptive processing techniques have enjoyed great success in airborne radar, but have not yet been investigated in the context of HFSWR. This thesis is primarily concerned with the evaluation of existing STAP techniques in the HFSWR scenario and the development of a new multistage adaptive processing approach, dubbed the Fast Fully Adaptive (FFA) scheme, which was developed with the particular constraint...
