An overview is given of methodologies used for evaluation of bioenergy systems on envoronmental, micro- and macro-economic spects. To evaluate micro-economic impacts net present value and annualised cost calculation are used. For environmental impacts, methods used are: qualitative studies, energy analyses, life cycle assessments, LCA-related methods specially developed for bioenergy systems, and externality studies. Macro-economics impacts can be assessed by single direct indicators, efficiency prices, input-output analyses, social accounting matrices and general equilibrium models. Problems in the various methodologies are: assesment of costs for farm labour and land prices, environmental aspects an land-use, and weighing of different environmental impacts. We show that the fraction of proliferating CD4+ lymphocytes is similar in HIV-infected subjects in the early stage of disease and in HIV-negative subjects, whereas the fraction of proliferating CD8+ lymphocytes is increased 6.8-fold in HIV-infected subjects. After initiation of antiviral therapy, there is a late increase in proliferating CD4+ T cells associated with the restoration of CD4+ T-cell counts. These results provide strong support for the idea of limited CD4+ T-cell renewal in the early stage of HIV infection and indicate that after effective suppression of virus replication, the mechanisms of CD4+ T-cell production are still functional in early HIV infection.

Series of CoAPO-5, CoAPO-11 and CoAPO-34 molecular sieves have been synthesized starting from a synthesis gel varying in its
amount of Co²⁺ and type of solvent molecule. Four protonic solvents have been investigated: water, ethanol, ethylene glycol and
glycerol. The obtained crystalline materials were characterized with X-ray diffraction; diffuse reflectance UV–Vis–NIR spectroscopy;
infrared spectroscopy; elemental analysis; electron microscopy microprobe analysis and thermo-gravimetrical analysis. It was found
that the type of solvent has a strong influence on the crystallization behavior and the substitution degree of Co²⁺ for Al³⁺ in the

Zusammenfassend konnten von der Fremdsprachenerwerbsforschung aus gesehen wenig Anhaltspunkte gefunden werden, um bestimmte Grammatikthemen jeweils an bestimmte GER-Niveaus zu koppeln. Naheliegender scheint es, die Lösung darin zu suchen, wie wir im Unterricht mit Sprachformaspekten der Fremdsprache umgehen. Aber in Anbetracht des Vorhergehenden wäre es dabei wohl nicht logisch, Prinzipien zu formulieren, die für alle Niveaus in gleicher Weise und in gleichem Maße gelten würden. Es läge vielmehr auf der Hand, für die verschiedenen Niveaus auch unterschiedliche Leitlinien zu formulieren.
Oxygen uptake and glucose and glutamate oxidation
kinetics of the heterotrophic bacterium Pseudomonas
chlororaphis grown in glucose- or glutamate-limited
cultures under oxygen-saturating or oxygen-limiting conditions
were determined. Km values for oxygen were 1.4–
5.6 UM. Only in the case of glucose were significantly
lower Km values and enhanced specific oxygen affinity
(Vmax/Km) per cell found under oxygen-limiting conditions.
Both Km and specific affinity values for glucose and
glutamate oxidation were apparently affected by oxygen
concentration, although a statistically significant enhancement
of the oxidation kinetics was found only for glutamate.
The kinetic data found for P. chlororaphis support
the conclusion that the outcome of competition for oxygen
with Nitrosomonas europaea in the rhizosphere of
oxygen-releasing macrophytes...
The goal of this study is to test the plausibility of the Tree Pruning Hypothesis (TPH; Friedmann and Grodzinsky, 1997) for Broca’s aphasia by examining adverb distribution in spontaneous speech. The TPH claims that in Broca’s aphasia higher nodes of the syntactic tree are unavailable during sentence production, whereas lower functional heads are available; the syntactic tree is pruned.
The plausibility of the TPH was analyzed using the universal adverb hierarchy by Cinque (1999). Cinque claims that adverbs specify distinct functional heads. In this approach adverbs are located at specific fixed positions in the syntactic tree. Cinque’s claim combined with the TPH leads to the prediction that adverb distribution should reveal the pruning phenomenon during spontaneous speech of Broca’s aphasic subjects.

Morphine induced an increase of plasma α-MSH levels and a decrease of AVP levels after peripheral or intracerebroventricular administration. This increase of α-MSH levels and decrease of AVP levels after morphine treatment was observed in non-stimulated animals as well as in rats in which the hormone levels were elevated by water deprivation or by administration of hypertonic saline. These latter effects of morphine on plasma levels of α-MSH and AVP could be blocked by simultaneous administration of naltrexone.
β-Endorphin also increased plasma α-MSH levels and lowered plasma AVP levels. From these effects only the increase of the plasma α-MSH level and not the decrease of plasma AVP could be blocked by naltrexone.
